“If a teacher is indeed wise he does not bid you enter the house of his wisdom, but rather leads you to the threshold of your own mind” – Kahlil Gibran

I design programmes and other interventions specifically for each client.  This means meeting with clients to develop an understanding of the context for the work and to ensure that what I am providing really is appropriate for their specific needs.  I will always encourage clients to get really clear about what their expectations and goals are for the work.

I have a calm and open style and I aim to create a supportive and safe environment for people to learn and explore.  In all my work, participants will experience a minimal amount of ‘teacher talking time’ and lots of space to explore, discuss, practise and test out what they are learning.  I see it as my role to offer input, in the form of models, tools and examples when appropriate and then to make observations, offer insights and challenge participants to be curious, to stretch themselves and to ‘do the work’.

I use a number of well-known tools and models in my work, including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, various 360 feedback models, coaching models and emotional intelligence questionnaires.  I use mindfulness and relaxation practises and draw on my experiences in drama.  As I am continually striving to learn new things myself, I also like to incorporate new models and tools into my work where these may be helpful.
